December President’s Letter

Dear Friends,

As I write my very last President’s Letter, I can’t help but reflect on the past two years and how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to serve our guild. I have made many friends—officers, committee chairs, past presidents, supportive members, women I sat with in workshops, those who came with me to lunch, and people outside our guild who made generous donations.

Thanks to all the workshops and skill-building classes, my quilting skills have improved. It has been read more

November President’s Letter

Dear Friends,
I’m looking forward to our quilt show on November 9th! Are you bringing your friends and family? The
article in Current in Fishers, along with all the great publicity, should ensure a great turnout – and there is
no SNOW in the forecast (remember that?)! Be sure to carpool and park in the side lot if possible. I
think last year, people parked on the grass because of the great attendance.

What are you working on? I made a bunch of heart pillows along with the BOM, and read more

Cornerstone Lutheran Comfort Dogs

At the October meeting we had the honor of gifting a quilt made of neck scarves for a comfort dog that had passed away. Naomi was the dog’s name and several guild members worked on the quilt from piecing the scarves to quilting it. Naomi’s handler was in tears as the quilt was presented to her.

Magdelene, the church’s current comfort dog was in attendance along with several of her handlers. The guild makes Magdelene’s scarves, and if you’d like to make a scarf read more

Brickyard 400!!! Let’s go racing gals!

The racers of Mudsock Quilters Guild were at it again. This time they gather in July to run the Brickyard 400 at the new Indianapolis speedway at Community North Health Pavilion. They were in their seats and ready to start racing at 9:00 am. This year we used the Bricks Pattern for our quilt tops. This versatile pattern can create many different looks by the placement of your fabrics.
