President’s Letter
April 2023
Is Spring finally here? Flowers are blooming, trees are budding, birds are singing and the geese in our neighborhood conveniently (?) laid eggs near the bike path on Springmill Road.
Did you have a chance to be Wonky in March? It looks like we will have some fine show and tell from the workshop that was so much fun and so well-attended. Thanks to our Program Team and speaker Lisa Ruble of Quilty Zest! Also – the Block of the Month had a wonky house theme. I hope you had some fun with it!
I’m looking forward to the April Program – if you haven’t been to visit the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana, I highly recommend it.
We’ve posted new guidelines for using fabric in the Store Room – you can find them on the Mudsocks Website under Charity, Community North Shopping Guidelines.
Laurie Farthing will be hosting a new member’s get together in May – everyone is welcome. Look for the signup sheet at our April Meeting.
We do have a track full for the Jelly Roll Race on May 14th – there are spots available on the wait list and you could race along at home if you can’t be there in person.
Reminders:
-
- Please come a few minutes early so that you can be in your seat right at 9:30 when the fun begins.
-
- Wear your name tag and bring a $1 donation and/or donation item for Cornerstone Lutheran
What do you call a gathering of quilters? A Block Party
