June President’s Letter

Ready for the heat? It’s been a wonderful, cool spring; however, I always look forward to the neighborhood pool. This is the 1st baseball season with my grandson that it was not sweltering and sunburns. The local strawberries are so sweet and yummy, I am making regular trips to the strawberry farm to keep a fresh supply.

How is your challenge quilt coming along? I look forward to seeing all your creations in July. I know of at least one that is completed and has been submitted to the Great Wisconsin Quilt show. Your entries to the show are due June 30th. https://quiltshow.com/quilt-contest/ Many of the quilts we have seen at Show and Tell are perfect to submit in one of the many categories. Let’s have a great show of our members at the show.

June 9th meeting- due to the lightning, fire, and flooding at Delaware Township, our meeting will be held at St Mark’s United Methodist Church, 4780 126th St, Carmel, IN 46033 at 9:30. Thank you to our program chairperson, Peg B, for securing this space for us. Come enjoy and fun and practical program. Please remember your $1 donation for the use of the facility.

Many of you are enjoying the Indiana Shop Hop. I haven’t visited as many shops as I hoped, but it’s been fun. What are you going to do with the shop blocks?

Enjoy the summer!
