We are headed to the Hamilton Missouri Quilting Mecca of Missouri Star. The bus loads up at Cornerstone Lutheran on 116th on Sept 12th at 7:00 am. Be there or be left behind.
Our Tuesday schedule includes a stop in Hannibal MO, but we won’t be meeting Shoeless Joe, we will be stopping for lunch and some shopping at Hickory Stick Quilt Shop.
We will then continue on to our destination in Hamilton MO, the Hotel Hamilton. Our meal for the evening will be catered for eating at the hotel’s retreat center.
The accommodations at the hotel are 6 suites with a common living room between 2 bedrooms which sleep 5 people each. There are 3-4 bathrooms to accommodate the guests in each suite. Please let Anne H know if you are wanting to be housed with a certain person or group. You will not need to make a reservation as the entire hotel is being booked for our use.
The hotel provides a continental breakfast each morning with an additional hot offering.
After breakfast the bus will be available to transport us to the shopping district, or you are welcome to get your exercise in by walking about 1 mile to the Mecca of all that is Quilting.
Wednesday is for getting your fill of Quilt Town USA, or looking into the other items of interest in the area. Lunch is on your own at any of the dining establishments in town.
We will return to the hotel for another night of catered eating. If you would like to partake of other food options you are welcome to, but be advised the catering costs are built into the trip cost and you are already paying for the evening meal.
Thursday morning we will load up our new stash, please pack light on the trip there so you can bring all your purchases home!!, and head back to the church. We will stop along the way for a meal and a pit stop. Plan your drinks accordingly!
To secure your spot on the bus please send in a deposit for $100 to the Treasurer Laura A, address info in our Current Members area. The total for the trip is estimated to be $350 to cover the bus, accommodations and food. If you have any more questions please contact Anne H.
