QAL Opportunities

It seems there is always a Quilt Along opportunity going on in the quilting world. Have you joined any recently? Here’s a few for you to consider that are happening in the month of January!

SAHRR 2022 This is a Stay At Home Round Robin where the quilter adds their own rounds to their starting center block. The rounds are prompts from 6 quilting bloggers, of which yours truly is one. Each week the guest blogger will reveal her prompt and show you how she used it for the round. Then you can visit the other 5 bloggers to see how they interpreted the prompt. The Round Robin happens January 10th to the final reveal on March 21st.

Riley Blake Designs is having a RBD Block Challenge. This challenge started January 4th and runs until May 17th.

Gigi’s Thimble is doing a Scrappy Pineapple QAL. This QAL uses foundation paper piecing to create uniform Pineapple blocks. The sewing starts January 31st and runs for 36 weeks. A slow and steady block a month challenge.

Jessica Dayon is hosting a Scrappy Sampler QAL that began in December, but there’s still time to catch up. She is currently releases 3 blocks a week. This QAL runs until April 12th.

Patterns by Jen does a Monthly Color Challenge each year, and she is back again in 2022. This is a BOM challenge that gives you a color to use each month.

The Fat Quarter Shop has several QALs going, with the Heartfelt one to benefit the Make A Wish foundation.
