After a hiatus over the summer, Shop Spotlight is back! And who better to showcase than our October Speaker, Margaret Fette of University Sewing at the Tailored Fit.
Now, can anyone guess why her shop might be called University? Do you think it might have to be because she’s in a college town? Well, we will just have to ask her when she speaks on October 12th. But her shop is located at 611 W 11th St Suite 2, Bloomington, IN, so I think it’s a very good possibility for her shop name.
Margaret’s shop has been around for 5 years now, serving the needs of the community whether they are quilting, garment sewing, or machine needs. Stop in to see what the shop provides.
USTF carries a wide range of fabrics for all your sewing needs. They have apparel fabrics for making your own wardrobe items, quilting fabrics for making a warm and snuggly quilt, or wool fabrics for wool appliqué projects.
They also carry Bernina and Bernette sewing machines and service them to keep them in top running form. Be sure to ask for a demonstration of their machines when you drop in.
You can drop into the shop Monday, Wednesday-Friday from 10am – 6pm, Tuesday 10am – 7pm, and Saturday 10am – 5pm. There are no COVID restrictions, but Margaret encourages you to wear a mask if you are concerned for your health. The entire staff is vaccinated and they clean surfaces regularly, but she does caution to not look too close for dust!
In closing, Margaret would like for you to know that all the staff at USTF know how to sew! They make quilts and clothes and love to share their knowledge with their customers, who they truly love and appreciate. Be sure to check out their Class List for your opportunity to learn from their great team.
How wonderful that we will be able to meet and hear from Margaret at our Guild Meeting in October, and get a chance to shop her products without having to travel! Remember, bring your cash or checks, as they don’t take cards!
