May General Meeting Fun

What a wonderful show of generosity shared at today’s meeting. From donated baby items, to hearts for cancer patients, and items for Steals and Deals, our quilters are a giving bunch!

On display was the Heart top that some members have been working on for Ukraine relief. The inner portion is done and just waiting for the border. This is a Bonnie Hunter pattern.

The BOM Committee hit another one out of the park this month! The Chandelier Block was very popular.

And now for the wonderful talent of our guild members!

Once the business portion was done it was time for our guest speaker Toby Lischko, of Gateway Quilts, to tell us all about Kaleidoscope quilting.

Toby taught us to distinguish between Symmetrical and Asymmetrical fabrics and how they would present in her patterns.

She shared examples of these kinds of fabrics and border prints.

And then we got to the good stuff! The quilts samples.

Toby had many wonderful examples of what can be done by isolating a certain spot on your fabric and fussy cutting the same piece multiple times. The secondary designs that come forth are truly delightful!
