What a WONDERFUL program!!! Lisa Ruble of Quilty Zest joined us for an “Improv” session that was anything but comedic, although she definitely got some chuckles from us. Her “Improv” was thoroughly delightful and insightful! Thank you to the Program Committee for bringing in such a great speaker.
Lisa did a trunk show of her pieces and a slide presentation of her style and the evolution of her craft. Her modern style doesn’t limit her to just solids, she branches out with tone on tones and prints to see how they affect the designs. Lisa will be staying for a sold out Improv class on Tuesday, and I am sure the participants will have a great time being wonky!
And then we got down to business….
The church has approached us about making Pup Comfort Pillows to dovetail with their new service dog program. A few styles were presented as options for these pillows. We will share more information as the opportunity progresses so you can share your talents for this worthy cause. We will be providing embroidered faces for those who aren’t adept at hand embroidery or painting faces.
Community Charity Business: We missed making this announcement, Community Charity sewing will be the 4th (FOURTH) Monday in the months of March and April due to a conflict at the facility. Please note this on your calendar.
There were quite a few birthday girls who got up this month to receive their “cupcake”. Happy Day Ladies!
BOM was another home run this month! Thank you BOM Committee for giving us some fun blocks to try.
And now for the stars of the show! Show N’ Tell. Another stellar month of beautiful quilts and accessories.
