Hello Dear Quilters,
Here’s a riddle for you: What did the friendly quilt say to the bed? Give up? Well, I’m not going to the reveal the answer, because trust me, you would groan aloud if I did.
Ok, here’s another riddle: What does NOT include loud construction noise, hauling chairs, or virtual anything? I will five you the answer to that one even though you probably already know it. It’s our June Guild meeting!
Yes, the Delaware Township Trustee’s Office has graciously invited us to use their lovely, spacious, Community Center for our monthly meetings! At no charge! For the rest of the year! The address is 9094 E. 131st St in Fishers. After you turn into their entrance keep driving straight back; don’t stop at the first parking area.
There is a lot of construction in that part of town right now so plan your route accordingly. Also, I’m afraid we will not be able to have the Meet and Greet for new members after the meeting as planned, but stay tuned for further developments. Lastly, there is no mask restriction in place; however, if you have not been vaccinated, please consider the possible repercussions of being in a large crowd. Since it’s been so long since we saw each other in 3-D, here is a pre-meeting check-list.Remember to bring:
- Your name tag
- 1-2 items for Show and Tell if you desire
- Charity quilts for donation
- Small bills for change to shop the Steals and Deals table
- Your Block of the Month entry
- A canned good and $1 donation for Delaware Township Trustee’s Office
You may not be aware of what Township Trustees do, so here’s how they might use our donations. Among other things, they help residents that are having difficulty meeting their basic needs such as shelter and food. They can assist residents with rent, mortgage payments and utility bills. The Delaware Township Trustee also runs an onsite food pantry for all residents of Hamilton Southeastern School district.
Here’s one last riddle: What do quilters do with a WOMBAT? I am dying to know your answers….Looking forward to seeing you all soon,
