If you weren’t able to make it out to the January Meeting, you might want to catch up on some tidbits of news! There’s lots of fun things coming our way over the next few months and we wanted to give you an overview. Of course, you can always find all the info about events on the Calendar here or in Events on our FaceBook group page, so you know the fine details.
Coming up in February, be sure to leave a Valentine for your loved one before you head out to the guild meeting, February 14th at 9:30. You won’t want to miss our speaker, Mike Stephens, from Not Your Average Quilter shop near Brownsburg. Mike will share his knowledge of art quilts and give us an overview of his methods.
March may come in like a lion, but we are sure our guest speaker Candy Grisham will be a gentle lamb when she imparts her way of “reimagining the Dresden”. She will conduct a half-day workshop on Tuesday to help us bring our Dresdens to life.
April will bring a fresh breath of air when Catherine Redford joins us and lets us in on “What I Learned While Quilting”. I hear she has a lively wit and we are sure to be entertained. She will lead a half-day workshop that afternoon on Free Motion Quilting.
May we are finally able to host Toby Lischko from St Louis. We had her slated in 2020, but things did not work out for her to appear. She pretty much “Sees Stars” all the time and will show us just how beautiful the stars are in her world. That afternoon she will show us how to build Parfaits, the fabric kind, not the tasty kind.
Also in May is a chance to race to the finish during our Jelly Roll Race in honor of the Indianapolis 500! We will have our race during the Community Sewing Bee at Delaware Township. Come out to see who’s the fastest around the track!
Be sure to visit the Calendar pages for all the times and locations for these upcoming events, you won’t want to miss a thing.
