Get Ready: Tag Sale

The tag sale is the number one fundraiser that we do throughout the year.

How it works:

Mudsock Guild members clean out their stash, sewing and craft rooms (to make room for more stash, of course). Bring your pre-priced items to the monthly guild meeting and offer it up for sale to our guild members.  The money raised each month goes to the guild helping pay for speakers, special events, and programs.

Items not sold at the meeting are stored until we select a date to offer it for sale to the public.  (Date of the sale will be in 2019 and will be announced at a future date.)

Pricing guidelines:

Scraps: $1 – $2 for a gallon size Ziploc bag

Fabric: $1-$4

Measure the yardage and price it $1 per yard for non-cotton and dated fabric (like you were going to make that dress for your 4-year old that’s now in college).  $2-$4 per yard for cotton fabric that is recently purchased or a current style or trend (like the stuff you loved last year but don’t have a use for it this year.

Books: $1

Quilting patterns: $2

All other patterns: .25¢

Magazines .25¢

Crafting and notions: $1-$4 use your own judgment per item.
