It’s hard to believe we have moved from summer into fall already!  This year has flown by, and hopefully we are all happy with what we have accomplished this year. So many beautiful projects have been revealed at “Show and Tell”.  I’m so proud to be part of this wonderful group of talented women!

Our election of the Mudsock board for 2019 was completed at the September meeting.  We also had an opportunity at the meeting for members to volunteer for committees for next year. The new committee members are posted on the website.  Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to continue on a committee and all the new members who will be joining committees for next year! There is still room for more participation, so please contact any committee chair if you want to help.

Our inaugural retreat in Shipshewana was a whopping success!  There were so many beautiful projects in process, and it was fun to share sewing, shopping and eating. Thanks to the demo queens (Laura and Erika), we all had fun making pillowcases and needle minders. Thank you to the retreat committee for all your hard work and great ideas that made the retreat a fun experience for all!

The meeting this month will be at Cornerstone Lutheran Church. Please remember to bring food pantry items as a thank you for allowing us to use their facility. The crying room at Cornerstone will be open for anyone who wants to stay to sew after the meeting. The outer doors to the church are locked after 1 PM, so you need to be inside by then.

Happy sewing and see you all at the next meeting!
