July General Meeting and Program
2023 Mudsock Quilt Challenge
As is the tradition, every year the programs commitiee issues a challenge to the guild for something to make. It can be about a color, a theme, a particular block to be used. Past themes have included “10” for our 10th birthday, anything goes, a variation of your 1st quilt, …
Last year we were inspired, and everyone had a lot of fun with our Christmas in July program and seeing different items that had been made. This inspired this year’s challenge. This year’s challenge is …. “Patriotic Summer Fun”.
The project can be a quilt, something for a picnic, an outdoor game…. Anything to help you celebrate summer. The project can be big or small.
Suggested requirements are to use red, white, and blue fabrics, one color or combinations. It can be for your personal use, a charity project, or a donation to Quilts of Valor.
Our reveal will be our July meeting due to availability of our program speakers. Because of the short turn around, if you are making a quilt top, it is perfectly fine to bring the flimsy to show.
Enjoy, raid your scraps and stash and start quilting!
