Quilting 101

If you are new to quilting or want to improve your skills, join this beginning class available to Mudsock members. The classes will be taught by Diane Dimpfl combined with guest speakers. Diane has been a Mudsock member since 2013 and has served as the Administrator of the Community Quilting Bee for the past five years where she has taught and assisted many of our Mudsock members with all aspects of their quilts.

January Community Sewing

Such a wonderful group of ladies who come out to sew for Community Charity each month. And this month it was no different. We had some working on the monthly pattern Brick Wall, some working on Succulent Gardens for baby quilts, and the rest working on their own tops for Community quilts.

Each Christmas the Mudsock Quilt Guild distributes Charity Quilts to those who are in Community North Hospital on Christmas Day. During the year we sew these quilts at our monthly Sewing Bee. All Mudsock read more

January Show and Tell

What a wonderful start for the Mudsock Quilt Guild. 2023 is going to be a great year of learning and growing as a guild.

Becky M, 2022 president, handed off the gavel to Mary B, 2023 president and the meeting was called to order. We honored our birthday gals, introduced our new members and guests, and drew for the BOM.

Alice Ridge Program and Workshop

Pam Durant, leader of the Quilters Guild of Indianapolis North, has shared some events news for their guild. 

On Friday February 3rd our speaker will be Alice Ridge from Bloomington. On Saturday, February 4th, we will have a workshop at the Zionsville Town Hall called Mock Molas. Cost is only $20 plus a $25 kit fee. The kit has everything you need for this hand sewing project. Just bring sharp scissors.

Happy 2023!

Mudsocks Quilters Guild had a very successful 2022 and enjoyed being back to in-person meetings at our “home base” – Cornerstone Lutheran Church.

There were great programs, a retreat in Shipshewana and active participation in all of our charitable endeavors.We even had a “Secret Sisters” activity which was a new way to have fun.
